Mit viel Kreativität haben die Schüler:innen der neunten Klassen des Humboldtgymnasiums Solingen fantasievolle Begegnungen mit den Künstler:innen aus unserer Dauerausstellung geschaffen. Alle Texte wurden von den Jugendlichen selbst verfasst und vertont.
Zu Beginn des Schuljahrs 2023/2024 beschäftigten sich die Klassen intensiv mit der Geschichte deutscher Emigrant:innen, die nach 1933 wegen der Verfolgung durch das NS-Regime ihre Heimat verlassen mussten. Sie lasen den Roman „Der Pfad. Die Geschichte einer Flucht in die Freiheit“ von Rüdiger Bertram. Der Protagonist des Romans ist Rolf, ein Junge aus Berlin, der mit seinen Eltern Katia und Ludwig nach Frankreich auswanderte. Von dort führte sein Weg weiter über die Pyrenäen nach Spanien und Rolf schloss eine enge Freundschaft mit dem Fluchthelfer Manuel. Viele dieser Stationen haben auch die Künstler:innen aus der Sammlung der Bürgerstiftung durchlebt. So entstand die Idee, den Jungen Rolf auf die Künstler:innen treffen zu lassen.
Bei einem Besuch im Zentrum für verfolgte Künste haben die Schüler:innen sich intensiv mit unserer Dauerausstellung beschäftigt. So sind Texte entstanden, die sich kreativ und empathisch mit den Biografien aber auch den Werken der Künstler:innen auseinandersetzen.
Anlässlich der Präsentation des Nachlasses von Karl Schwesig und der neu gestalteten Dauerausstellung des Museums Zentrum für verfolgte Künste stellten am 1. Februar 2024 Schüler:innen des Humboldtgymnasiums das Ergebnis ihres Projekts vor: einen Pfad mit QR-Codes, den man auf einem Plan verfolgen und in der Ausstellung anhören kann. Schulleiter Alexander Lübeck freute sich über die Möglichkeit, dass sich die Jugendlichen jenseits des regulären Unterrichts kulturelle Räume wie das Zentrum für verfolgte Künste aneignen und im besten Sinne partizipativ an der Entwicklung der Ausstellung teilhaben konnten. Der Autor Rüdiger Bertram zeigte sich sehr bewegt von den kleinen Hörspielen seines Protagonisten Rolf und nahm sich Zeit für Gespräche mit den Schüler:innen, die sich auch das ein oder andere Autogramm holten.
